PSP Processing
- Outline
- PSP (Precision Surface Polishing) processing improves the essential fatigue strength of materials by eliminating defects in the processed surface layer. This enables elimination of fine burrs in the end faces caused by press process and machining without changing the product dimensions. It is a physical elimination process, so there is no corrosion due to chemical residue.
- Applications

- Assures the formation of end faces of thin plates and the consequent fatigue strength
- Eliminates imported contamination of roughness end faces (processed surface layers)
- Creates smooth plate surfaces (i.e., improves the surface roughness of calendaring processing)
- Eliminates fine burrs
